On 21st of January there was a function of a office colleague in Mangalore, hence some of the other colleagues wanted to go and visit Mangalore. So off we went.

Mobile: Spordiac coverage (Tested on Airtel). You can get coverage at certain places.
Transportation: Take KSRTC bus from Majestic, platform 13 at 8:30am
Return buses at 2:30pm,4:15pm and 5pm (Better be early)
Food: Better to carry snacks/water, food available at Hotel Mayura and Hotel Ranjita

Mekedatu and Sangam Trip
About Mekedatu ‘Mekedatu’ is the place where the Kaveri (Cauvery) River flows through a narrow ravine. Legend has it that the channel was so narrow that sheep would jump across, and hence the name Mekedatu (Meke = sheep/goat, datu = cross in Kannada), more on this a bit later.
Mekedatu is about 93Kms from Bangalore. The first 89Kms till Sangam can be undertaken in a vehicle, but for the last 4Kms we need to cross a river and either take a different transport bus or go walking....
Recover deleted files from Memory card in Linux
For the past few months I have been using my Sony Cybershot W80 extensively and taking photos left and right. One of the features that I use is that of creating folders on the memory card. On one such occasion I created a new folder which was for experimenting with the camera options next day.
Once I finished with the experimenting I wanted to delete them, since there were lots of photos deleting them individually did not make any sense so I used the ‘delete all photos in the folder’....
